Deducting Medical Expenses?

I will have medical expenses exceeding 7.5% of my AGI. However, the standard deduction will be higher than all of my other deductions combined. Can I claim the standard deduction and also deduct the medical expenses? Or am I out of luck on the medical expenses? Single filer.
