One question about 'The Black Swan' movie.?

I basically understood the whole movie, and at the end I was just left with one question, which I think I know but I am a little confused. When she goes to see beth to return her things, I got the impression that it wasn't Beth that stabbed herself in the face, but it was actually Nina, because in the elevator she was holding the bloody nail filer.. Is this right?? Thanks.
